Guru Smt.Sandhya Gopal is an accomplished Bharatanatyam teacher and has been teaching the dance form in Hong Kong and Australia for over 10 years. Apart from being a devoted teacher, Smt.Sandhaya Gopal is also a skilled choreographer. Her students have given numerous performances including some under the aegis of the Government of Hong Kong. Smt.Sandhya Gopal had her training in the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam under Guru(late) Smt.Jayalakshmi Narayan of Hydrabad. Smt.Sandhya Gopal has performed extensively in India and abroad, and is credited with conducting the first ever Bharatanatyam Arangetram in Hong Kong in 2003. Smt.Sandhya Gopal combined her knowledge with a passion for teaching and imparts to her students a love for the art. Her recipe for maintaining her student’s enthusiasm and generating stage confidence is to teach them simple dances, which are then performed at public forums periodically.
